Typical work that the candidate will support includes the following: Perform work to plan, analyze, and evaluate engineering and technical efforts used to define total weapons systems/subsystem requirements, translate requirements into design criteria, and evaluate alternative design approaches. Establish preliminary design and performance characteristics; engineering responsibility extends through development and final approval of project/system design for production and service use. Develop systems engineering packages for all projects as required. Attend weekly and/or monthly teleconferences in support of mission requirements. Assist in translating DoD user requirements into system requirements, which is used to design, develop, fabricate, test, and evaluate systems, subsystems, and equipment. Review overall system design baseline (architecture and interoperability) requirements. Assist in the development of system specifications and system architecture products. Provide engineering support to assigned project teams to include development of requirements documents, support agreements, review of programmatic and technical documents and Candidate delivered project documentation. Participate in test preparation and test review of assigned projects.
Education/Experience:The Candidate shall have a Bachelor in Electrical Engineering or a related field and a minimum of six (6) years of electrical and systems engineering experience in support of acquisition and logistics sustainment requirements is required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: The Candidate shall provide Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) to KBRwyle’s customers by providing engineering and technical services to in support of network, radio, and antenna evaluations, analysis, and engineering services. The Candidate shall have a working knowledge of high frequency radio theories and antenna propagation. The Candidate shall effectively apply practical engineering knowledge of a wide range of established system engineering principles, concepts and methods. The Candidate shall ensure that operational safety and suitability and effectiveness are considered in all activities. The Candidate shall be proficient in the use of the latest versions of Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, and Share Point and Project) and Microsoft Internet Explorer. The Candidate may be required to learn to use other commercial or specialized computer applications
