The End User Technology Architect is responsible for solution design and architecture of the technologies related to end user technologies including devices, Windows and Apple Operating Systems, system imaging, packaging, software delivery, and productivity applications like O365. The role includes defining and translating business requirements into system design specifications and creating/facilitating the actual solution design. This role is also responsible for contributing to the overall Enterprise Architecture and development of all strategy, roadmaps and design principles for the related technologies working with our Suppliers and Partners. In this role the candidate will also establish standards, provide documentation for standards, and current state designs. The candidate will be forward thinking and be the innovation source for the areas of responsibility, and will act as a technical escalation point.

Principal Responsibilities:
* Ensure strategic alliance for designed solutions with our Suppliers, Partners, and UTC BUs
* Solution and System Architecture for related technologies
* Tactical Systems and Solution design
* Collaborate with Suppliers, Partners, and UTC for roadmap execution
* Collaborate with project teams to provide infrastructure implementation estimates
* Research and develop future roadmaps, strategies, and technical visions
* Audit the operational systems states for compliance to design and standards specifications
This position can be located in Charlotte, NC or Windsor Locks, CT

Qualification: Required Technical Skills and Knowledge:
* Understanding of Enterprise Architecture processes
* Understanding of IT Management process such as ITIL
* Strategic thinking and roadmap design for multi-year model
* Ability to collaborate with project and operations teams for development of solutions
* Knowledge / experience in a regulated environment is preferred

Architect level knowledge of the following technology areas:
* User Workstation Technologies
* Application Virtualization and Profile management
* Windows OS image creation and delivery
* Automation Tools and processes for Desktop management and lifecycling
* User Performance Monitoring
* Knowledge / Experience of Support and managing print output is preferred
* Knowledge / Experience of Support and managing Apple Devices
* Knowledge / Experience of MDM technology is preferred
* Knowledge / Experience of O365 management / Deployments is preferred
* Knowledge / Experience of Active Directory / GPO’s and ADFS is preferred

* BA/BS degree w/6-10+ years experience
* MA/MS degree w/4-7+ years experience
* ITIL Foundation Certification is Preferred
* Industry accreditations are Preferred
