Location:              Denver, CO                                           

Department:         Maintenance                                         

Accountable to: Director of Maintenance

 

Position Summary: Monitor all Engine Shop repairs, warranty work, and vendor repairs.

 

Areas of Accountability/Essential Functions:

  •  Performs all tasks assigned in accordance with Company and FAA operating standard
  • Responsible for PT6A-67D and PW118A/B engine “On Condition” maintenance program
  • Monitors the ECTM and oil analysis data and schedules engine maintenance items, and follows up on corrective actions in a timely manner
  • Returns engines to service.
  • Generates Manual Comment Report change requests / generates MRANS
  • Supervises the purchase of part spares for scheduled and unscheduled engine maintenance
  • Assists and instructs maintenance personnel with specialized inspections and maintenance tasks relating to engine maintenance
  • Monitors machining of hot section kits for the 1900 Fleet with personnel from GLA CRS
  • Assists GLA / Outside Vendors in developing work scopes for engines requiring maintenance.
  • Analyses vendor invoices for accuracy and have corrected as needed, assist accounting with any discrepancies found.
  • Monitors and negotiates warranty work for engines and engine related material on behalf of GLA
  • Budgeting /cost control of engine operation and maintenance
  • Required to participate in accident investigation with FAA and NTSB
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Completes other tasks as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

Knowledge/Skill/Ability:

  • Strong knowledge of and familiarization with power plants on B1900 and EMB120 aircraft
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems effectively
  • Ability to prioritize workload in order to get aircraft completed on time
  • Ability to lead others and delegate tasks
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and as a team
  • Ability to communicate in a professional manner

Education/Training/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • A&P License
  • Inspection experience preferred
  • 10 + years Industry Experience required, Factory Training desirable

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

  • Working indoors and outdoors in all types of weather
  • Occasional to Frequent Lifting of items weighing up to 70lbs with or without assistance
  • Standing for up to 4 hours at a time
  • Frequent bending, reaching, climbing stairs, kneeling/crouching, twisting, walking, pushing, and pulling
  • Frequent writing, reading, and use of standard office equipment
  • Moderate to high noise levels; may require use of hearing protection equipment
  • Must be able and willing to climb ladders and work at heights up to 25 ft
  • Occasional exposure to chemicals
  • Varying schedules, may require work on nights, weekends, and holidays

Other Requirements:

  • Minimum age of 18
  • Valid driver’s license / with clean driving record must be able to get into Canada
  • Some travel may be required / International (Canada)
  • Legally Authorized to work in the United States
