Responsible to review and distribute to system engineers, all incoming Airworthiness Directives (AD) for Hawaiian Airlines fleets. Must effectively collaborate with engineering and QA personnel to ensure HAL has a comprehensive and complete plan to comply with FAA AD requirements.
Maintains current AD records for engineering, capturing the compliance method, accomplishment timelines, AD drop date, HAL compliance plan, etc.
Serves as the Engineering Focal for Corrective Action Request (CAR) resolution for any discrepancies or issues regarding Airworthiness Directives affecting aircraft. Coordinates engineering responses regarding status of AD compliance to other organizations, as needed.
Responsible for review and distribution to responsible system engineers, Aircraft OEM, Component and Supplier Service Bulletins, Alerts, Service Letters, etc. Keeps accurate records on incoming bulletins and HAL’s decision to incorporate this information.
Provides engineering oversight for entering part numbers into Hawaiian Airlines configuration system.
May assist in the creation, revision of and continued accuracy of ICA (Instruction for Continued Airworthiness) technical documentation, including but not limited to: Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMMs), Illustrated Parts Catalog (IPCs), Wiring Diagrams (WDs), System Schematics, etc.
Associates degree, preferably in Engineering or related field of study i
Must possess a basic knowledge of aircraft systems.
Candidate should have familiarity and experience with Large Commercial Aircraft and related technical documentation.
Ability to write technical procedures, read aircraft schematics, wiring diagrams and installation drawings.
Ability to provide proactive support to engineering, as required, for M&E (Maintenance and Engineering) teams repairing aircraft.
Must be detail oriented and possess excellent oral and written communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills.
Must be proficient in the use of common office software including Microsoft Office.
Must be able to pass a TSA security investigation and be issued a HNL AOA badge to work on secured airport property.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field of study
Experience with a FAA Part 121 operator
Familiarity with Boeing Toolbox, Sceptre, HTML and TRAX software
