Entry level design engineer that has recently graduated. Systems/Avionics Engineer may assist in the installation and servicing of cutting edge communication and avionics systems in corporate aircraft along with creation of data for FAA approval. Responsibilities: • Creation of electrical drawings for interfacing new avionics (navigation, communications, datalink) and cabin equipment (lighting, broadband, entertainment) to existing aircraft systems. This will include creation of an updated electrical load analysis for the aircraft. • Creation of mechanical drawings showing locations and mounting of newly installed equipment. • Creation of Flight Manual Supplements based on design and FAA requirements. • Ensure that designed systems meet requirements mandated by the FAA and aircraft manufacturer. • Design, purchase, test, and configure avionics systems. • Assist with equipment installations and checkout of installed systems before aircraft delivery. QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aviation, or Aerospace Engineering • The candidate must possess a strong ability to multitask between concurrent projects and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. • Computer networking knowledge a plus. • GPA of 3.0 or greater required • Willing to ride along on flight tests to ensure installed systems work properly in flight. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: • Extensive knowledge in mechanical and electrical design, drawing, mathematics, and shop practices. (AutoCad experience) • Previous electrical installation and troubleshooting knowledge a plus. • Must have the desire to be involved in all phases of the engineering process
