Responsibilities include:

*

Leads development work using standard Boeing application delivery technologies for integration and service delivery in support of managing network infrastructure technologies, network devices and business process improvement offerings.

*

Prepares, deploys, and maintains complex environments integrating Boeing and commercial software products.

*

Applies knowledge of application design and development as well as Boeing best practices to deliver reliable and secure solutions.

*

Documents code, scripts, programs in a fashion that fosters collaboration and first time quality within the applicable process structures.

*

Applies system management knowledge required to develop and sustain applications.

*

Chooses appropriate development methodology consistent with Boeing AD&S guidelines and BSDL restrictions.

*

Coaches and mentors teammates to leverage knowledge of networking technologies and interactions to support network connectivity activities with a One Boeing approach.

*

Works projects that improve organization efficiencies by understanding end-to-end service needs and use case applications.

*

Uses appropriate work processes to optimize resource usage and correctly manage service requests.

*

Should be able to adapt to work requirements spanning organizational boundaries while maintaining fidelity to teams cost, quality and process needs.

*

References relevant standards governing statement of work including BENTAG operating agreements, and the POL documents relating to network and application development.

Basic Qualifications:

The candidate should be familiar with operating within a UNIX or Linux environment, how ports are managed, and job control.

*

The candidate should be familiar with the OSI network model and its relationship to TCP/IP.

*

The candidate should be proficient in developing and supporting server based applications that leverage local and remote database, serve websites, and operate interactively with the user.

*

Knowledge of secure development is required to protect the Boeing network and information assets. The candidate should understand how SNMP is used to manage and monitor network nodes.

*

The candidate will be responsible for knowing and understanding the implications of governing processes including but not limited to: BENTAG, PRO-5520, Boeing Application Development & Sustaining standards, and the Boeing Secure Development Lifecycle.

Preferred Qualifications:

*

UNIX: limited system administration

*

Java: Servlets, JSP, JDBC, JBoss, JPA, Hibernate, Struts, JSF a plus.

*
