The Boeing Site Services organization has a new job opportunity for a transformational leader to lead, manage and develop diverse teams from Project Management, Maintenance Engineering, Contracted Services and/or other Regional Services activities. This Facilities Equipment Engineering Manager level K position is located in North Charleston, South Carolina.

 

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Business Partner and other supporting organizations (Tooling, Research and Technology, Quality, EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety), NC (Numerical Control) Programming, Manufacturing Engineering, etc.) to support the manufacturing requirements necessary to build on-time quality parts for the customer.
  • Promote a healthy safety culture, manage budgets, long range business planning, maintaining/improving service culture, and improving the efficiency of the organization.
  • Specific services that you could be expected to lead are: maintenance teams (self-performing or supplier based), customer interface activities, project management teams, asset renewal strategy efforts, surplus sales and other regional activities.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience leading diverse teams, initiatives, or projects that created a significant change in how service delivery was performed with demonstrated improvement to cost and quality. The successful candidate will require strong collaboration with other sites, multiple Business Partners and other Shared Services service groups while demonstrating the ability to quickly learn multiple Site Services businesses. The leader will be adept at conflict management, collaboration, developing talent and holding candid conversations.

Qualifications 

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience supervising or leading production equipment engineering or maintenance functions.
  • Ability to communicate with technical personnel from multiple skill areas and functions to evaluate technical information and issues impacting design, production, and support of product services, or other deliverables.
  • Experience leading teams in a formal and/or informal leadership role. 
  • Willingness to work any shift as needed.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in related field.
  • Experience leading technical professionals to support a wide array of production equipment and infrastructure systems including, but not limited to: Large Profile CNC Machinery, Composite Aircraft Fabrication Equipment, Robotics, Driller Systems, Automated Equipment, and Overhead Handling Systems.  
  • Demonstrated ability to drive and influence change.
  • Experience with conflict management, collaboration, developing talent and holding candid conversations.
