What does a Facilities Maintenance Technician do for Allegiant?

The Facilities Maintenance Technician will assist the Facilities Engineer under the direction of the Manager of Facilities. Must be skilled at managing their own time and prioritizing workloads. Entering all expenditures into Allegiant’s computerized maintenance
management software (CMMS). As well they will perform duties that include shipping and receiving, ordering supplies, and general administrative duties with the department.

What are some of the daily duties of a Facilities Maintenance Technician?

* Previous facilities maintenance experience required (2 years minimum).
* Assist in the maintaining of the overall operation of company’s physical property locations in Las Vegas.

* Order approved office supplies for Corporate office as needed
* Order approved office supplies for outstations as needed
* Maintain supply inventory for office supplies and break room supplies
* Assist Manager as needed with start-up stations (ordering supplies/ equipment and coordinating deliveries)

* Assist with all time-sensitive mass mailings as needed
* Obtain bids and negotiate rates with construction, electrical, data and workstation contractors.

* Issue access badges. Point of contact for viewing of camera surveillance recordings as requested

* Maintain conference room audio visual equipment. Track repairs and replacements.

* Participate and coordinate safety and fire drills. Make recommendations for improvements.

* Assist in minor carpentry repairs including installations of pictures, artwork and bulletin boards. Assist with minor furniture and equipment moves.

* Execute tasks in a timely manner.
* Interaction with visitors, vendors, deliveries and all departments
* Tasks and projects may be very physically demanding requiring accurate vision, hearing, and coordination responses.

* Must possess strong verbal communication skills and the ability to resolve conflicts with and get results from contractors, the property manager and other outside parties in a deadline driven environment.

* Communicate with Manager on regular basis
* Confidentiality is imperative
* Other duties as assigned

What are the minimum requirements to be a Facilities Maintenance Technician?

* High School diploma or equivalent.
* Minimum of 2 years work experience on commercial buildings repairing and installing equipment coupled with general maintenance issues and commercial building operations.

* Basic knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical, carpentry, and plumbing.
* Basic experience with CMMS and/or BMS software is a plus. Past similar experience in a corporate office setting is preferred.

What other skills, knowledge, and qualifications are needed to be a Facilities Maintenance Technician?

* Must be able to perform plumbing maintenance, light carpentry, and light electrical and mechanical work

* Ability to read and understand mechanical prints, drawings, and electrical diagrams and work from such prints, drawings, and diagrams

* Multitasks and adapts quickly to change
* Must be able to follow written instructions and complete documentation associated with preventative and predictive maintenance.

* Familiar with a variety of maintenance fields’ concepts, practices, and procedures

* Employee must be well organized with excellent time management skills
* Must have a valid driver’s license
* Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen
* Must have authorization to work in the U.S. as defined by the Immigrations Act of 1986

* Describe the type and level of skills and knowledge required to handle the job’s responsibilities.

What are the physical requirements of a Facilities Maintenance Technician?

* Ability to comfortably lift up to 75 lbs., climb ladders, work outside and on rooftops, and must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (High visibility clothing, ear protection, safety glasses) when required.

* Must be willing to work occasional nights and weekends.
