Basic Function: Oversees the activities of the Accounting Department for the accurate and timely dissemination of financial information, including but not limited to, monthly and annual financial statements, annual audits and other internal or external needs.
A. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
? Supervise all accounting functions including but not limited to A/R, A/P, cash receipts, cash management, fixed assets, payroll
? Oversee implementation, maintenance, documentation, improvements in and compliance of internal control systems
? Timely review and approve monthly financial statements. Review monthly accounting close process including analytical review of the monthly operating results
? Implement best practices related to controls and accounting processes
? Oversee quarterly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
? Monitor debt covenants as defined in loan agreements as applicable. Respond to and submit all required reports to the lenders
? Report on, analyze and manage cash flow
? Establish and implement short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures
? Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and reporting
? Manage the annual audit and auditor communications
? Establish and maintain systems and controls which verify the integrity of all systems, processes and data, and enhance the Company's value
? Mentors, coaches and develops staff
? Overseas communication of financial information with insurance carriers
? Other duties as assigned
B. Specific Skills
? Accounting/Finance – The individual has a thorough understanding of GAAP has a strong working knowledge of general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll.

? ? Bachelor’s degree in accounting
? CPA strongly preferred
? At least 5 years relevant experience
? Strong Excel, Microsoft Office and enterprise accounting information systems experience required
