This position supports tasking for PMA-265 F/A-18 Program Office, NAVAIR Headquarters in Patuxent River, MD. General tasking includes performing managerial/cost accounting, budgeting, funding execution, manpower management, system support, and financial analyses to provide efficient allocation and effective utilization of financial resources, making recommendations for improving operations, systems and reporting. Navy ERP will be utilized to perform financial execution functions. Support will be provided to a variety of management activities, corporate initiatives, special projects and data calls which could have significant impact on the organization and its business operations. More specific tasking will include case expenditures and P&A and LOA/Amendments development analysis and development of life cycle analysis, pricing, and appropriations. The successful candidate will participate in relevant Integrated Product Team (IPT) case development focus meetings, as requested, participate in case initiation meetings and in all collaborative review meetings.

Education/Experience: This position requires a BS or BA degree in a Business related field, and four (4) years of experience in financial management. ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION: An AS or AA degree and an additional four (4) years of experience; OR an additional eight (8) years of experience may be substituted for a BS or BA degree. Financial management experience should include financial analysis of business programs, development of cost estimates, program status reports, and knowledge of DoD Federal Management Regulations (FMR), Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), PPBE process and Navy ERP. The preferred candidate will have experience supporting a program office. Previous technical writing, cost management, and configuration management experience is desired. Experience with the DoD milestone process (DoD 5000) and other acquisition policy, including NAVAIR Procurement Management Tool training is desired. The preferred candidate will have familiarity with accessing NAV ERP.

Education/ experience are contract requirements.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Candidate must possess a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook e-mail) and the ability to review, revise, and communicate effectively.

Applicant selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
