Description As an independently held regional airline in the United States, Air Wisconsin Airlines Corporation performs flying services and ground handling services for American Airlines.

Flying 71 CRJ-200 regional jets as American Eagle, AWAC brings passengers from their hometowns large and small to hubs that provide them with a gateway to countless travel destinations. 

The Flight Instructor will provide instruction for aircraft and simulator initial, transitional, upgrade and recurrent training for pilots in accordance with DOT/FAA and approved Company policies and procedures. The Flight Instructor will maintain their own proficiency as a line pilot, administers proficiency checks, line checks, OE checks, and monitors and assists with administrative programs in all areas of flight operations as required.Provides instruction for aircraft and simulator initial, transitional, upgrade and recurrent training for pilots in accordance with DOT/FAA and approved Company policies and procedures. Maintains own proficiency by participating in Line Observation program and administers proficiency checks, line checks and OE checks. Monitors and assists with administrative programs in all areas of flight operations as required.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

•Provides initial, transition, upgrade, and recurrent training for pilots per the Pilot Training Program as required. *
•Provides proficiency checks to pilots in accordance with the FAA PTS and approved Company procedures. *
•Teaches Cockpit Procedures Training as required.*
•Teaches Ground school as required. *
•Observes crew performance in Line Observation program
•Evaluates pilots during training and check performance. *
•Monitors training and makes recommendations for training improvements.*
•Ensures that training complies with applicable provisions of the DOT/FAA regulations including filling out and maintaining necessary training records.*
•Maintains proficiency as a line pilot and check airman or participates in the Line Observation Program.*
•Promotes crew resource management principles.*
•Attendance is considered an essential responsibility.*
•Adheres to all Company policies and procedures.*
Requirements Preferred Education and Experience:

• Associate degree in an aviation, communications, or teaching curriculum
•Airline Transport Pilot certificate with appropriate type rating (required)*
•Knowledge and experience in training or teaching, with excellent presentation skills
•Federal Aviation Regulations Part 121 or 135 experience
•Strong written and verbal communications skills
•Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office (including MS Word & PowerPoint), Internet courseware development tools, and e-mail
•Knowledge and experience in training or teaching, with excellent presentation skills
