Aircraft Lead Technician: Reports to the assigned Supervisor or Facility Manager. Employee with FAA A/P license (contingent upon Facility requirements). Minimum of 3 calendar years of aircraft fuel tank maintenance experience. Able to teach other technicians, must be able to complete all aircraft related and required paper work. Since this position is assigned supervisory duties (directing maintenance, preventive maintenance and alterations and/or directly assisting persons unfamiliar with tasks) the person must be qualified per 14 CFR - 145.153.

 

Duties: Familiar with the methods, techniques, practices, aids, equipment and tools used to perform the assigned maintenance, preventive maintenance and alteration tasks (see, 14 CFR m- 145.153(a)) Certificate under part 65 (see, 14 CFR - 145.153(b)(1)).Ensure continuity of maintenance, that maintenance is properly documented and turned over in case of shift change or reassignment. Ensure confined space entry procedures are carried out and monitored. Ensure appropriate equipment, tools, and maintenance data are utilized. Ensure personnel have appropriate experience, knowledge, or training prior to assigning maintenance, preventive maintenance or alteration tasks. Supervise and train those employees unfamiliar with maintenance practices or techniques. Train, assist and supervise technicians in proper work procedures and practices. Be available for consultation and advice of maintenance being performed. Ensure only qualified mechanics sign for work performed. Ensure maintenance records are appropriately completed. Verify that work is performed in accordance with the applicable technical data. Ensure OJT is documented and forward to Training. Maintain work area, shop area clean and orderly. Ensure proper handling of parts during maintenance and following completion. Ensure the completion of customer requirements on parts supplied by customer. Ensure all tags and forms applicable to maintenance performed are properly attached and filled out. The work demands flexible schedule and the ability to fit into small areas and work in confined spaces.

Preferred Skills:

Have FAA A/P license and able to teach.

 

Required experience:

Aircraft fuel tank maintenance experience of 3 years.

 

Aircraft Technician Class A: 

This technical position requires a minimum of 4 calendar years of aircraft maintenance experience, able to trouble shoot repair a vast majority of tasks with limited guidance on multiple manufactured airframes and types. Reports to the Facility Supervisor and/or Facility Manager of company Repair Station. Aircraft Technician Class A is responsible for performing fuel tank maintenance, preventive maintenance and alteration tasks as directed and assigned in accordance with the applicable maintenance data – (tank diving). The qualifications for this position is knowledge, experience and/or training required to perform the assigned task. This position will not be assigned management, supervisory or inspection duties and does not have authorization to sign a maintenance release for approving, maintained or altered article for return to service. Therefore, this position is not required to be certified under 14 CFR - part 65 or be listed on the Management, Supervisor, or Inspector roster.

 

Duties: Carry out the assigned tasks, in accordance with the applicable maintenance manual. Maintenance performed which have been completed or partially completed have been signed off. Ensure maintenance operations are performed in the appropriate sequence that inspections are requested in an orderly and timely manner and that maintenance activities are performed according to the appropriate maintenance data and customer requirements. Ensure test equipment or tools used to make airworthiness determinations are labeled and current. Request stock as required for the work being performed. Properly record the work performed on the appropriate maintenance record and complete the additional paperwork as required. Maintain work area in a clean and orderly manner. Remain cognizant of applicable FAR part 14S and 43. Familiar with the content of the company Repair Station Manual, Quality Control Manual and subsequent revisions. Responsible for recording time of tasks assigned. Immediately communicating to supervision any procedures, practices or habits, if not corrected might lead to injury, inefficiency or un-airworthy conditions.

The work demands flexible schedule and the ability to fit into small areas and work in confined spaces.

Required Skills: 

Trouble shoot and repair of multiple airframes and types.

 

Required Experience:

Aircraft maintenance experience of 4 years.

 

 

Aircraft Technician Class B: This technical position requires a minimum of 2 calendar years of aircraft maintenance experience. Reports to the Facility Supervisor and/or Facility Manager of company Repair Station. Aircraft Technician Class B is responsible for performing fuel tank maintenance, preventive maintenance and alteration tasks as directed and assigned in accordance with the applicable maintenance data – (tank diving). The qualifications for this position are basic knowledge, experience and/or training required to perform the assigned task. This position will not be assigned management, supervisory or inspection duties and does not have authorization to sign a maintenance release for approving, maintained or altered article for return to service. Therefore, this position is not required to be certified under 14 CFR - part 65 or be listed on the Management, Supervisor, or Inspector roster.

Aircraft Technician Class C: 

This is an entry level technical position with less than 2 years of aircraft maintenance experience. Reports to the Facility Supervisor and/or Facility Manager of company Repair Station. Aircraft Technician Class C is responsible for performing fuel tank maintenance, preventive maintenance and alteration tasks as directed and assigned in accordance with the applicable maintenance data – (tank diving). The qualifications for this position are basic knowledge, experience and/or training required to perform the assigned task. This position will not be assigned management, supervisory or inspection duties and does not have authorization to sign a maintenance release for approving, maintained or altered article for return to service. Therefore, this position is not required to be certified under 14 CFR - part 65 or be listed on the Management, Supervisor, or Inspector roster.

Attendant/Runner: 

Runner/Attendant reports to assigned supervisor. Runner/Attendant is responsible for maintaining communication with and monitoring the wellbeing of the entrants in the confined space. In doing so they are responsible for the summons of appropriate emergency services as needed.

Duties: Maintain current training and certifications in confined space protocol and understands the hazards associated with confined spaces. Ensure that all precautions and conditions of the entry permit have been met prior to entry and while the work is being performed. Ensure that the entry permit has been properly completed and signed by the entry supervisor prior to any entry into the confined space. Maintain an accurate count of entrants in the confined space and ensure that only those entrants whose names appear on the permit are allowed in the space. Remain outside the permit-required space at all times. Maintain communications with authorized entrants as necessary to monitor entrant status and alert entrants of the need to evacuate. Maintain communications with the runner. Initiate evacuation and emergency procedures when required.

 

Required Skills: Ability to learn and comprehend basic assigned tasks and safety procedures.
