PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Manufacture standard production and customized aircraft furniture.

JOB DUTIES:

I. Work from orders and blueprints to build and assemble small aircraft furniture per specification. May work under the guidance of higher grade furniture builder(s).

II. Assemble with the use of adhesives, resins, epoxies, pins, and screws.

III. Operates basic power tools such as table saw, band saw, hand and table router, and sanders with minimal assistance.

IV. Use of precision measurement instruments.

V. Operates spray gun for adhesive spray.

VI. Applies laminate and veneer to composite and other materials.

VII. Responsible only for own work.

VIII. Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

High school education or equivalent and Textron Aviation’s blueprint reading class preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

6+ months of assembly and/or composite experience.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Somewhat disagreeable conditions with exposure to dust and noise.
