This position has supervisory responsibilities for managing direct staff and will provide leadership for flawless execution of both production and development programs. This opportunity offers a diverse experience: the ability to impact the engineering process through all phases of development, from concept inception to aftermarket support and across the entire suite of products managed. This Engineering Manager will also be the technical lead of an engineering staff of approximately 12-16 employees. In addition, this individual is accountable to the Program Office for execution within the established metrics including schedule, cost, technical performance, quality and risk management.
Within the Program Management Team, the OSE/PCE Engineering Manager serves as the engineering lead for this sub-team within the Cargo Engineering organization. The Engineering Manager defines and maintains the project schedules, directs technical system-level trade studies, assures technical goals are met on schedule and to cost, ensures lessons learned have been captured and incorporated, and ensures overall product integration with the customer's system. In addition to the aforementioned responsibilities, this position is responsible for highest MRB technical oversight and compliance for the Cargo Engineering organization and requires a high level of customer engagement via regularly scheduled meetings and other forms of written and verbal communication.

Responsible for execution that supports Operations Support, Post Certification and MRB Engineering
Responsible for managing Mechanical, Electrical, Software, Systems, Stress, and Test Engineering
Manage productivity efforts to reduce overall development cost throughput cycle
Utilize UPI, Passport, and RGBT business processes for major tailoring efforts of existing products
Manage the planning and implementation of program team objectives
Interfaces with the Project Manager, Project Scheduler, NPI Manager, discipline chiefs, manufacturing, procurement, and quality to ensure requirements for product realization are validated and verified
Qualification: At least 6 years of experience in related Engineering discipline(s) including 3 or more years experience in managerial role preferred.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements.
Demonstrated command of RCCA methodology and tools.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize both daily issues and strategize longer term projects.
Superior interpersonal and influencing skills, including coaching and mentoring of other engineering staff.
Exceptional organizational, analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
Strong computer skills, MS Office.
Lean/Six Sigma experience.
Education: •BA/BS degree w/ 6-10+ years experience
•MA/MS degree w/ 4-7+ years experience
•PhD degree w/ 2-4+ years experience
