An opportunity to drive and implement the long-term vision for the future of Delta Air Lines' customer experience. You will work collaboratively with Delta leadership, internal and external partners, and be ultimately responsible for guiding teams through innovation programs that improve the airline experience for Delta Air Lines customers and employees.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES IN THIS ROLE

- Collaborate with internal and external partners to explore and transform ideas into workable solutions that provide a deeper understanding of Delta's business challenges
- Serve as a catalyst for establishing an enterprise-wide practice of human centered design thinking
- Solicit and nurture ideas in order to expand current thinking and identify an exhaustive list of possibilities
- Assess the feasibility of solutions and partner with stakeholders to establish the business case for implementing new solutions
- Efficiently leverage all resources and exhibit behaviors that allow Delta to learn fast and fail cheap
- Actively build innovation capabilities across the organization and scale processes, tools, and skills throughout the company
- Structure and lead formal and informal innovation sessions, contribute to definition of new ideas and concepts, facilitate and capture output
- Apply research, innovation best practices and agile methods to innovation programs and developing minimum viable products (MVP's)
- Scout trends, develop business cases and models, conduct feasibility analysis, perform comparative analysis, conduct interviews and ethnographic analysis, measure and summarize information and data, apply business knowledge, perform rigorous and accurate quantitative / qualitative analyses, size markets, business model analysis, scenario analysis and sensitivity modeling to assess feasibility of innovation ideas
- Benchmark airline, travel, and non-travel endemic innovation best practices


WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? / WHAT EXPERIENCE DO YOU NEED?

- Bachelor's degree with no less than 5 years product management (or related) professional experience
- We are looking for proven experience leading multi-disciplinary innovation, on both medium and large scale projects involving multiple partners
- You will bring a deep knowledge of innovation methods and best practices
- Experience building internal tools and integrating with third-party systems
- Demonstrated technology expertise, including understanding of and experience with front-end technologies, agile development methodology and user-centered design principles 
- This person should be highly adaptable, a driver of change, and capable of quickly rallying teams
- Good communication skills and creative thinking, we want you be have excellent storytelling capabilities, providing appropriate business, design, customer and cultural context; Effective verbal, written, and visual communication skills, with the ability to understand the business need and translating that to help create and then manage innovative concepts to solve these needs
- Comfort working in a matrixed environment. Ability to work well independently and on a closely-knit team, with varying levels of guidance and direction
- Flexibility and organizational skills to multi-task, juggle, and re-prioritize multiple projects and stakeholder needs
- Ability to engage with colleagues and contacts outside of the company (clients, industry experts, etc.) in an articulate, professional manner
- Attention to detail and ability to deliver market-ready products within tight deadlines
- Initiative to proactively solve problems and add value through thought leadership
- Strong developed project management skills required
- A demonstrated ability to conduct qualitative and quantitative program analysis, track and support operational program and metrics; resolve complex technical and financial problems with limited oversight
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous situations, with minimal direct guidance
