Chipton Ross is seeking a Graphic Designer for a contract assignment in El Segundo.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages activities in Graphics and Design or Technical Publications department to ensure efficient, cost effective services using state-of-the-art technology. Provides creative direction for all work in the department, and manages project tracking. Plans, organizes, and oversees design, graphics, artwork, visual aids, and end products to ensure production of professional materials. Provides guidance on graphic technology. Demonstrates behavior that is consistent with the company's values of Dedication to Mission Success, Technical Excellence, Commitment to Our People, Integrity and Objectivity.

KEY FUNCTIONS
" Produces creative solutions, working with project managers, writers, editors, marketing specialists, department managers, and senior leaders to develop dynamic, compelling, and consistent graphic solutions for a variety of Aerospace products.
" Provides role in art direction on a variety of corporate projects and campaigns, both in ensuring unity of elements across projects, implementing design concepts developed externally, and providing strong direction on new internal creative development.
" Integrates the visual aspects of the Aerospace brand across all channels (print and digital).
" Serves as lead designer on corporate project teams as needed.
" Utilizes project management/tracking system to manage all assignments.
" Meets with internal customers to capture requirements, brainstorm concepts, and negotiate schedules and deliverables.

REQUIREMENTS:
" Expertise in all facets of the creative design process (concept development, storyboarding, review coordination, product execution), both hands-on and in a team-leadership role.
" A detailed understanding of design best practices for print, web, displays, and social media
" Experience with project management/tracking tools.
" Experience with a variety of software, including Photoshop, InDesign, digital media, web look-and-feel, 3D applications, etc.
" Expertise in core applications (Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office, project management tools)
" Minimum of B.A. degree in art, graphic design, marketing, or communications with a foundation of hands-on relevant experience.
" Minimum of 4 years of experience in Graphic Design
" Excellent oral and written communication skills, including diplomacy and persuasion skills; ability to present creative concepts clearly and effectively
" A detailed understanding of brand development and multichannel marketing concepts
" Schedule flexibility required with occasional need for overtime; some travel required
" Strong portfolio highlighting both individual work as well as projects done team environments
" Strategic big-picture thinker with an understanding of how the components of campaigns work together
" Ability to track and manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and adjust as necessary; familiarity with project management suites
" Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
" Strong customer service orientation and positive, can-do attitude
PREFERRED
" Ad-agency experience, or similar corporate design experience
" Comfort interacting with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
" Experience providing creative direction.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENTS
" Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
" Ability to use a computer to complete activities.
" Ability to communicate with individuals and groups in person, by phone and telepresence.
