Purpose: Provide ground instructions to Spirit Airlines flight crews.

Responsibilities:

•Work with the Manager of Ground Training, and other training staff to refine, develop, write and implement training curriculum for the Spirit Training Department.

•Instruct in a classroom setting, Spirit pilots in aircraft systems, performance, general subjects, and other subjects under FAR 121 Training Program.

•Must be able to follow approved training curriculum and ensure pilots are trained to the highest standards.

•Assist the Manager of Ground Training in researching, evaluating, and implementing new or revised training systems, policies, and procedures.

•Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications for consideration include:

  • Prior FAR 121 airline training and/or flight crew experience.
  • Excellent presentation ability.
  • Four year college degree or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of and the ability to teach aircraft systems, operating procedures and policies.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, team oriented and self-directed.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite; Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
  • Ability to learn new software and systems efficiently.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CFI, CFII, and Commercial Pilot with multi-engine rating.
  • A four year degree in Education, Science, or Engineering Work Environment.
  • Some travel required.
  • Flexible work hour.
  • Aircraft line observation.
