Overview:

The Ground School Instructor instructs flight crewmembers undergoing initial, recurrent and/or transition training in accordance with the Flight Operations Manual and the applicable FAR.

Responsibilities:

* Conducts crewmember initial, recurrent or transition training in accordance with the FOTM as directed by the Senior Director Flight Procedures, Training and Standards
* As directed, assists in the development of various flight crewmember training programs. Checks the currency of training manuals and other materials used in various flight training courses.
* Completes appropriate flight crewmember ground training records and other flight training documentation in a timely manner and directs to the appropriate filing source
* Communicates issues of concern, or of exceptional achievement, regarding crewmember trainees’ performance to the Fleet Captain B747 / B767 in a timely manner

Qualifications:

* TEM/CRM facilitation Experience in a 121 or 135 environment
* Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) or Instrument Ground Instructor (IGI) preferred
* Experience in or knowledge of Instructional Systems Design (ISD) preferred
* Experience in airline/aircraft courseware development preferred
* Excellent teaching skills required
* Excellent written and oral communication skills required
* Strong organizational skills expected
* Four-year (4) college degree preferred
* Excellent facilitator skills preferred
* Computer literacy in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access)
* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
* High energy individual with multitasking skills
* Demonstrated leadership skills
