The Director of Maintenance, dedicated to supporting a Gulfstream G450, would report to the Vice President of Maintenance and is responsible for maintaining the aircraft to the highest standards in additon to planning, quoting and scheduling of maintenance for the assigned aircraft and oversight of maintenance projects. The candidate would promote and help realize the Clay Lacy vision, mission and values daily.
Serve as an active member of the Clay Lacy Team, share its vision, mission and values.
Adhere to policies and procedures of Clay Lacy Aviation
Forecast upcoming Maintenance events, schedule and obtain the necessary resources to complete, maintain an annual Maintenance Schedule.
Forecast and Maintain an Annual Cost Based maintenance budget
Periodically provide Aircraft Account Manager with a 12/24 month projection, inclusive of downtime, estimated costs (man hours) and coordination.
Work productively with the Aircraft Flight Crew Members to support their missions and expectations from the owners.
Shall be present at all aircraft arrivals and departures within reason.
Maintain the aircraft to the highest standard through complying with preventive maintenance, mechanically.
Attend industry seminars and workshops to understand upcoming reliability programs, Service Bulletins offered by the OEM and Airworthiness Directives by the Governing body.
Understand and Plan for upcoming regulatory mandates to maintain aircraft current status and support upcoming missions
Shall complete light and moderate work on aircraft. In addition, coordinate the moderate and heavy maintenance in efficient intervals by active scheduling with the owner schedule, crew, Aircraft Management, CLA Maintenance at home base.
Establishing and maintaining partnerships with relevant company staff
Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects and tasks.
Willing to travel via airline to aircraft projects and inspections.
Willingness to work long and sometimes irregular hours
Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Establish the environment and expectation that comments, concerns and suggestions by personnel will be handled and shared with the aircraft management at Clay Lacy.
Establishing and maintain records as required by the FAR’s, manufactures, and company policies. AC Records to be kept at VNY’s library and that will need to be coordinated
Ensuring that high levels of customer service are provided to the company and its customers;
Representing the company in aviation matters through trade associations, the FAA, state or municipal aviation bodies, airport management, community organizations and contract agencies;
Maintaining high morale through an awareness of company and department policies, employee development programs and periodic department meetings for the two-way communication of ideas, goals and objectives;
Communicates safety issues to CLA Home Base Safety Officer.
Manage and process of all aircraft Parts and Cores timely.
Track and Report aircraft times and cycles to all applicable warranty and extended-maintenance program administrator.
Education: 4 year College Degree preferred
Possess a minimum of Ten (10); years of A&P related duties with some experience in maintaining the type of aircraft in interest. A minimum of three (3) years of experience in managing Aircraft and DOM duties.
