Primary Job Duties:

As a Heavy Maintenance Spares Representative, you will be responsible for receiving and issueing aircraft parts to the maintenance base in a timely manner ensuring on time repairs.

  • Is responsible to the Manager of Aircraft Spares at the base supporting Essential Maintenance Provider’s.
  • Know and understand company manuals with associated policies and procedures, in regards to Chapter 4, Aircraft Spares and Support (all sections) and Chapter 2, Section 4 Contract and Substantial Maintenance and Section 5 Essential Maintenance Vendor Procedure Manual.
  • Communicate via phone and email 24/7 assisting with Essential Maintenance Provider’s questions/information and parts requests.
  • Prepares for incoming C-Check Aircraft by creating MR for Predraw Parts and pulling, issuing and delivering Predraw parts.
  • Researches daily MR requests from Essential Maintenance Provider and determines whether to supply or request a part fabrication, or if (kit) details need to be ordered.
  • Fills parts requirement by requesting purchase, expedite or transfer if part is not in stock and by pulling, issuing and delivering stocked parts.
  • Monitors incoming parts and provides daily updates to Essential Maintenance Provider (via vendors website or other method)
  • Monitor SB Kits and communicate with Fleet Coordinators regarding kit shortages/needs.
  • Is responsible for inspecting, loading and transporting removed parts to the SkyWest Spares Shipping Department.
  • Ensures unused serviceable parts are inspected and returned to stock in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrates a high level of professionalism during all SkyWest and Essential Maintenance Provider interactions.
  • Prepares for and attends daily Heavy Maintenance Spares meeting.
  • Attends Pre-draw meetings for incoming Aircraft when adequate staff is available.
  • Perform all other tasks as assigned by the Manager of Spares

Minimum Requirements:

  • Level II Parts Clerk or in-depth experience in similar industry
  • Qualified SkyWest Receiving Inspector or receiving experience in similar industry
  • Must have good comprehension of policy, procedures and industry requirements in regards to Spares Support for Essential Maintenance
  • Must be able to work unsupervised and be a self-starter
  • Must have strong work habits and teamwork skills
  • Must have good communication, organizational and people skills
  • Ability to prioritize and problem solve
  • Must be comfortable working with various computer programs
  • Must have working knowledge of Excel and ability to create and maintain Spreadsheets
  • Must be able to work effectively with SkyWest Heavy MX Technical Representatives, Essential Maintenance Provider and various SkyWest MX Department’s
  • Must be willing to travel as needed for Heavy Maintenance Spares Support
