HR Administrator

SUMMARY: Responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and to work closely with HR management in supporting designated areas. Specific areas of responsibility includes staffing, recruiting, company on-boarding, performance management, employee relations, job descriptions, compliance, drug & alcohol program management and/or personnel administration.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Serve as primary point of contact for internal customers.

· Recruit personnel and manages recruiting process through Taleo as required; provide salary analysis as needed.

· Administer temporary staff requirements with preferred vendors.

· Ensure required employee action paperwork is completed and processed in a timely manner, to include but not limited to Personnel Action Requests (PARs), open position requests, terminations, equity/promotions requests, etc.

· Make recommendations to HR management and assist with the development of new approaches,

policies and procedures to affect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.

· Manage unemployment claims through our Third Party Administrator (TPA) and participate in hearings as required.

· Assist with the development, administration and training of the Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action Programs.

· Collaborate with HR management and departmental management on employee relation concerns and manage them accordingly.

· Collaborates with Benefits Analyst as required.

· Maintain regular HR presence at AAR facilities, including the hangars and warehouse.

· Participate in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings as required.

· Maintain Human Resource Information System (EV5) records for designated area and compile reports from database to include but not limited to: new hire, termination and personnel status change processing.

· Oversee all required personnel compliance requirements.

· Assist with organizational charts and with the development with job descriptions.

· Prepare headcount reports, weekly senior management presentation, attrition reports and other reports as needed.

· Participate as required with employee out-processing and the exit interview process.

· Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.

· Responsible for maintenance of I-9 documentation and E-Verify administration to confirm employment eligibility.

· Maintain employee personal data files; record employee information such as personal data, compensation, benefits and tax data.

· Participate and assist with company events and employee engagement activities.

· Assist as needed with both internal and external department audit requirements.

· Assume the role of Drug Enforcement Representative (DER) for designated department’s personnel.

· Responsible for Drug & Alcohol Program administrative processes and procedures to include but not limited to: pre-employment drug testing, maintenance of drug and alcohol records, program audit requirements, database administration and compliance.

· Coordinate, in collaboration with HR Administrative Support, all department documentation control

· requirements to include but not limited to: reviewing approved HR documents prior to publishing, working with department employees to ensure compliance with department publishing format and SharePoint HR document accuracy.

Qualifications

·B.S./B.A. degree and three years of Human Resource experience; or

quivalent combination of education and experience. PREFERRED: Human Resources PHR or SHRM-CP certification.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

· Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in HR role.

· Strong understanding of HR Best Practices, policies and procedures utilized in one or more of the following areas: recruitment, selection, job descriptions/evaluation and classification, employee/labor relations, compensation (salary structures) policies/procedure, salary administration and HR metrics.

· Strong knowledge of applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.

· Working knowledge of principles of Affirmative Action/Equal Employment opportunity, HIPAA, FMLA, COBRA, Sarbanes Oxley, ADA and FLSA.

· Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).

· Practical experience with Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) and Applicant Tracking systems, preferably EV5 and Taleo, respectively.

· Superior customer service standards with the ability to project a cooperative and professional demeanor when working with a wide range of individuals.

· Ability to work in a team-oriented, continuous improvement and customer-centric environment, and is able to quickly adapt to new procedures.

· Ability to maintain composure and effectiveness when interacting with difficult people/situations.

· Ability to maintain confidentiality pertaining to employee records, system data and other sensitive employee related information.

· Must be detail-oriented while being able to multi-task in a face paced work environment.

· Strong communication and presentation skills. Experience in aviation industry is a plus.
