This newly created position will report to the Director Human Resources responsible for International and the primary focus will be to lead APDC support activities on behalf of the Council and Air Canada. In this role the incumbent must be able to travel at least 40% of their time.

Managing and updating the Air Canada information on the APDC website

*

Conducting surveys on behalf of Air Canada and APDC

*

Structuring and maintenance of the central, internet-based document filing system

*

Preparation and coordination of committee meetings in coordination with host airline regarding venues, hotels and restaurants including preparation of contracts with vendors

*

Preparation and coordination of meetings or video-conferences

*

Attending the committee meetings and accountable for the minutes

*

Maintenance of distribution lists and respective communication (internally/externally) and related maintenance of the address book on the APDC website

*

Coordination of distribution lists with the external providers

*

Invoice verification for of various providers

*

Monitoring team-email and safeguarding replies within 48h

Qualifications

* University degree or certificate in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or Economics is considered an asset;

* Good knowledge of the Airline industry is an asset;

* Must be able to write in English and French

* Strong organizational skills

* Strong knowledge in Excel, Powerpoint, Word

* Strong inter-personal skills

* Adaptable and flexible working hours

* Available and able to travel
