The human resources intern will develop HR Coordinator/Generalist skills and assist the Safran USA, Inc. human resource department with a wide range of projects related to HR compliance, recruiting, employee benefits, communication, marketing, filing and personnel file management.

Interest in human resources

Ability to write business correspondence

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Strong interpersonal skills with ability to maintain confidentiality, conduct business in ethical manner, present a credible image and accept and follow direction

Ability to prioritize tasks and handle numerous assignments simultaneously

Must possess and emanate a positive team oriented attitude

Physical Requirements :

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.

The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms.

The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.

Candidate skills & requirements

Proper maintenance of personnel and human resources files

Assist employees with inquiries regarding benefits, payroll, MRP system, or company policies

Assist the HR team with posting positions, sourcing resumes, scheduling and participating in interviews

Assist the HR team with revamping the training process

Assist the HR team with the quarterly newsletter

Work on projects relating to employee engagement

Work with the HR team on updating the social media recruitment processes

Conduct audits of HR processes/files; implement agreed upon improvements

Prepare new hire orientation packets and paperwork

Review new employee documents for completeness

Assist with policy administration

Assist with employee communication

Filing and administrative tasks

Provide general HR support to the HR team or support to other departments as needed
Basic Qualifications

Student currently enrolled in a 4-year business, liberal arts, human resources, communications, psychology or related field from an accredited institution or enrolled in a master's program in one of the above mentioned fields

At least 2 years of completed college coursework

Minimum 3.0 GPA required

Legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship

External candidates to Safran, relocation is not provided for this opportunity. Only candidates living within a 50 mile radius will be considered.
