The Visual Systems team within the GS&S Training System Capability is looking for a highly self-motivated engineer (Level 2) to join the Image Generator (IG) Integration team. Our team is responsible for integrating Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) hardware and COTS Image Generation software solutions to support world class visual systems for the world’s elite military air crews including USAF F-15C, F-15E, F-16, F-22, US Air National Guard, and various international military customers. 

Typical job duties include leading IG, host, and database integration efforts, addressing day-to-day issues in productionizing IG solutions, and defining and verifying IG requirements and processes. This is a technical position providing hands-on experience with state of the art computer graphics hardware and software. This individual will interface with the trainer device crew station, database generation and display groups as well as the customers their products support. This individual will work in a rapidly changing and evolving environment and be able to apply appropriate technical decisions to complex problems.

Qualifications 

Typical Education/Experience:

Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 2 or more years' experience, or a Master's degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

 

A four year engineering degree is required.

 

Basic Qualifications (Required):

-Degree in Engineering.
-Experience with deploying Linux and MS Windows OS in a real time environment 
-Experience with configuration of computing networks 
-Script creation in Linux and Windows environments 

-Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance post-start

 

This position requires an active (or ability to obtain) U.S. Security Clearance, for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.

 

 

 

 

Basic Qualifications (Preferred):

-Minimum of one year experience in modeling and simulation 
- Working exposure to Common Image Generator Interface (CIGI) and/or Distributed Simulation Interface (DIS) 
- Minimum six months experience with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and Agile methodologies 
- Minimum one year experience with C++ and OpenGL
