Title Inflight Training Developer

Designs, develops and modifies curriculum, documentation and other training materials to support Instructor led and online Learning Management Systems (LMS) trainings.  Integrate the latest adult-based learning techniques, and training technologies to produce measurable performance improvements.


  • Develops and assists in the implementation of training programs, job aids and other performance improvement solutions.
  • Creates training content and delivery timeline based on development objectives and method of delivery.
  • Performs task analysis to evaluate effectiveness of training program, and makes recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensures regulatory compliance of all pertinent training material(s), courseware, and software via ongoing internal audits and gap analysis.
  • Updates training curricula based on new regulations and guidance established by the Federal Aviation Administration.
  • Transfers capabilities to Instructors through structured train-the-trainer events.
  • Works with subject matter experts to obtain information required to develop new trainings.


  • Minimum three years of Curriculum Development experience.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and design methodologies (i.e. ADDIE, Ruth Clark, Mager.)
  • Proficiency in e-learning management systems and course development software.  (i.e. SumTotal, Moodle LMS, Adobe Captivate, and Adobe Creative Suite.)
  • Experience leading LMS administration, including set-up, configuration, content loading, delivery, testing, & performance tracking to assure learning programs are effectively managed and delivered.
  • Must have ability to manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks to meet departmental objectives and goals.
  • A self-starter, able to work with minimum supervision to accomplish assignments and projects.
  • Excellent verbal, analytic, and written skills, with a strong attention to detail.  
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.  Master’s degree preferred.
  • Must pass background check and pre-employment testing.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.

    May perform other responsibilities as assigned.  Responsibilities and duties may change when circumstances dictate. (e.g., emergencies, changes in workload, rush jobs or technical developments).
