MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: • Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate; other licenses such as NDT a plus • Three years’ experience in turbo prop aircraft maintenance/inspection activities • AC system training by manufacturer or other air carrier with similar aircraft. • Experience working with Dash 8 with inspection or RII authority; military aviation experience with engine or airframe type useful • Avionics training is a plus • Excellent record keeping skills. • Able to work all shifts, (weekends & holidays as needed). • Current Alaska Driver’s license. • Must possess or be able to obtain a valid U.S. Passport. • Lift 50 lbs. repeatedly. • Tolerate odors and chemicals associated with aircraft operations. Willing to work in and outdoors in inclement weather. • Some bending, twisting, and stooping involved while using hand tools. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Work under supervision of the Inspection Manager. • Direct and assist RII Inspectors in performance of their duties. Monitor aircraft inspections & repairs ensuring use of FAA approved parts and data. • May travel and accomplish inspection and technical support for heavy check aircraft • Audit all aircraft work packages and records. • Perform incoming parts/materials receiving inspections. • Assist Maintenance/Inspection Department in making airworthiness determinations • Monitor maintenance operations for safe work practices. • Make recommendations for quality assurance and safety improvements.
