Description: Chipton-Ross is seeking an Inspector A Class for an opening in Rancho Cucamonga, CA.

The Inspector Class A will be responsible for performing the day-to-day duties of the Quality Control functions within the company including all functions of Class B. He/She will also be responsible for In-process Inspection, First Article Inspection and any quality control function required to support client Seats. Provide input on improving the quality system and processes they support. Take co ownership of all assigned tasks.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

-A competent degree of knowledge, at hands on and technical level, of tooling, machined parts, fabrication and assembly of aircraft seating.

-Task management experience and the ability to close out time dependent tasks.

-Ability to perform Lay Out and Inspect Machined parts. Complex FAIs

-Control and support of Inspection needs, and MRB areas. Corrective Action ownership as required.

-Understanding of measurement principles and practices as they relate to machining, fabrication and assembly techniques.

-The ability to communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing. Able to work with little or no supervision.

-Share knowledge and experience gained with other Inspectors and Support Staff.

-The ability and maturity to work in a highly dynamic environment.

-Review and approve new shop travelers, Generate inspection plans as applicable

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactory. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Tasks include inspection set-ups, use of inspection gages, hand tools, surface plates, optical comparators, FAI AS9102 experience, and Portable CMM Faro Arm and other test equipment, monitoring all tools and equipment for calibration requirements and review and approval of applicable quality control documentation. Must have a minimum of 10 year's work experience in a machine shop environment, able to read blueprints, a thorough understanding of inspection technique and standards, familiarity with Job Traveler documents,; excellent knowledge of all Windows PC applications and good interpersonal skills. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.

" 5 or more years of prior experience as a Class A Inspector

" 10 or more years in Aerospace and Machining Industry.

" Articulate in communication and tactful in dealing with others.

" Knowledge of ISO9001/2008 and AS9100, Lean, Kaizen, TQM

" High degree of machining and fabrication knowledge

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must be able to communicate effectively in English (speak, understand, read and write).

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Excellent Shop math skills including trigonometric functions

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

ASQ Certified Quality Inspection certificate is desirable.

EDUCATION:

Accredited High School Diploma/GED
