About The Job

​​This job is a member of the Customer Planning Team within the Customer Experience Division. Coordinates, develops and delivers regulatory and company mandated Ground Operations training programs to personnel.

Specifically, you’ll do the following:

* Conducts American Airlines mandated initial, recurrent and operational training programs

* Supervises students while in training including: On the job training, performance assessment, performance management, counseling/coaching, and administering progressive counseling, when necessary

* Ensures students are given proper credit and certification for course completion

* Updates and maintains current course curricula; always ensure course content is up to date and accurate

* Supports and participates in special projects/programs as requested by internal customers

* Develops positive relationships with corporate departments and station personnel

* Takes part in Alpha/Beta classes; providing feedback to Learning Specialists

* Completes personal expense reports timely, accurately and efficiently

* Ability to travel extensively both domestic and internationally to facilitate courses and provide mentoring/support

* Ability to work days/evenings/weekends

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

* ​High school diploma or GED equivalency

* Ramp mainline and/or mainline spoke station operation position and/or cabin appearance or other airline equivalent experience

* Previous training experience including classroom delivery and OJT

* Proficient in Sabre DECS system

* Experience working in an airport environment

Preferred Qualifications

* ​Bachelor's degree

* 3 year’s AA mainline ramp experience

* 3 years AA mainline operations

* (OPS0100) experience

* Experience in instructional design and prior instructor experience

* Experience with AA mainline wide body aircraft experience and AA mainline crew chief experience

* Proficient with Ramp Link+ scanners

* Qualifications for Operations Initial (OPS0100) Instructor qualifications for American Ramp Specifics (RAMPT1500) and for Cabin Appearance and Monitor and Challenge (CABNT1006, CABNT2042)Knowledgeable of Operations (OPS0100) policy, procedure and DECs entries

* ​Effective presentation skills

* Self-starter with proven leadership skills

* Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently and effectively

* Effective planning, organization, and time management skills

* Knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
