JOB DUTIES

Manage the Instrument Assembly group, responsible for the assembly, wiring and test of new instruments. Responsible for insuring adequate site support to include troubleshooting and instrument repair.

Generate bids, based on historical data, for projects.

Generate monthly man load report showing resources vs. production schedule.

Order and maintain tools and test equipment.

Review and approve timesheets, travel authorizations, and expense reports.

Review and status DR activity using FSI-SIMS database.

Participate in meetings affecting and/or involving the department.

Overtime and occasional travel are required.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and REQUIREMENTS

BSEET, avionics or related field with a minimum of 5 years experience in field of flight simulation or equivalent combination of education and experience. AS degree with 9 years experience; 13 years of experience with no degree. Knowledge and expertise for this position usually results from internal progressive experience.

Must have a firm grasp of the concepts involved with troubleshooting microprocessor based systems and performing system level troubleshooting utilizing software programs and utilities.

Conversant with a diverse range of electronic test equipment including, but not limited to: Multi-Meter, Oscilloscope, Frequency Counter, Capacitance Meter, IC tester, EPROM reader/burner, unction Generator and AC and DC power supply.

Conversant with basic technician tools associated with the assembly, wiring and testing of complex instrument modules.

Conversant with utilization of special tools, such as utilizing laptop computers to interface with, diagnose and/or load test software into simulator equipment.
