UTC Aerospace Systems is one of the world's largest suppliers of technologically advanced aerospace and defense products. Webdesign, manufacture, and service systems and components and provide integrated solutions for commercial, regional, business and military aircraft, helicopters and other platforms. We are also a major supplier to international space programs. In 2012, UTC Aerospace Systems was formed by combining two industry leaders, Hamilton Sundstrand and Goodrich, creating an organization with key positions on a wide range of aircraft flying today and substantial content on various UAVs, satellites, and ground and naval vehicles.
UTC Aerospace Systems is seeking a summer intern candidate for Materials Engineering Chemistry work. The candidate will be responsible for the reviewing and evaluation of specifications used in the manufacturing of aerospace parts. Creating an accurate and complete substance decomposition of a specification or a product is necessary to assure compliance with requirements.
Qualification: Basic Qualifications:
* Ability to perform specification decompositions through identification of substances used for materials or processes
* Candidate should strive to work towards the ability to gather chemical composition data from these same specifications or other sources as applicable
* Working towards the ability to identify the weight %, density or volume of each component or material
* Strong organizational skills
* Quality focused
* Math skills
* Pursuing a degree in Engineering
* Completion of 60 credit hours
