This 2018 Summer Intern position offers an exciting opportunity to grow technically and broaden capabilities while proudly contributing to unique state of the art solutions that truly make a difference. Position will begin in May 2018 and run through August 2018. This position offers great opportunities to enhance your learning.

Day to day activities can involve significant interaction with other functional groups including Engineering, Supply Chain and Quality, allowing for additional broad learning opportunities.

The Intern for our Test Electrical Engineering group will provide test plans and procedures for product and tooling tests.

Responsibilities will include data collection and the ability to summarize data for the appropriate Engineering disciplines. Hands-on position and active participation will be required. Will have exposure to electrical testing in lab environments. Also design and release of specialized tooling in, or for, thermal and vacuum chambers, vibration testing and electrical or mechanical special test equipment.

A culminating presentation will be required at the end of the session, reflecting on experiences and knowledge gained from the business.

Candidate will work in both lab and office environments. May be exposed to chemicals and solvents, and will be required to move throughout the facility. Candidate may need to wear appropriate PPE when required.

Incumbent may be provided a stipend to help offset temporary relocation expenses if they meet specific requirements.

Qualification:

* Experience with a CAD Program (AutoCAD, Pro/E, Solid Works)

* Good teamwork and collaboration

* Ability to work independently and learn in a fast paced environment

* Strong verbal and written communication skills

* Minimum 3.0 GPA

* US Citizenship required / single citizenship only

Nothing matters more to UTC Aerospace Systems than our strong ethical and safety commitments. As such, all U.S positions require a background check, which also will include a drug screen.

Housing stipends are offered to those who qualify.

Education:
Must be a full time student and have completed at least your sophomore year towards a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.

Minimum 3.0 GPA required.
