This position supports tasks assigned by the Naval Air Warfare Center, Patuxent River, MD, TEMPEST Branch, Code 5.4.4.7. Successful candidate will directly support the TEMPEST Branch performing TEMPEST testing on aircraft communications equipment. The position will require the selected candidate to utilize their working knowledge of electrical/electronics engineering disciplines and specifically those associated with electromagnetics and RF energy generation and propagation for communications systems. Candidate will be expected to apply engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, and evaluate communications systems security.
Education: A Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE), or related engineering discipline, from a school of engineering having a curriculum which was accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) is required.
Experience/Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: The position requires a working knowledge of electrical/electronics engineering disciplines and specifically those associated with electromagnetics and RF energy generation and propagation for communications systems. Experience with reviewing and preparing engineering and technical analyses, reports, and other technical documentation will be considered a plus. Candidates demonstrating the ability to apply engineering experience to analyze, design, develop, implement, test, and evaluate communications systems and/or software related to military communications systems and associated support systems will also be considered a plus.
