Role Summary:
The Labor Relations & Employment Specialist reports to the Labor Relations & Employment Manager and is part of the Lynn site Human Resources (HR) team. This role assists in the overall administration of the Labor Relations & Employment Office and is critical in executing local site initiatives, providing available and responsive internal customer support, and driving positive labor & employee relations.

Essential Responsibilities:

* Assist the Labor Relations & Employment Manager in managing relationships with four (4) local unions.
* Interpret collective bargaining agreements and memoranda of understanding to provide guidance and counsel on local labor and employee relations issues.
* Work with managers, union leadership, and employees to effectively resolve labor and employee relations issues and/or concerns.
* Assist in negotiating and drafting local settlement agreements.
* Responsible for reviewing and responding to local grievances and representing the Company during the local grievance process.
* Assist in the overall administration of the hourly hiring and job upgrade process including creating job postings, maintaining requisitions, recruiting, interviewing, hiring and onboarding.
* Partner with Employee HR Managers and other HR team members to execute business-specific HR strategies.
* Own site reporting and data analytics.
* Develop and facilitate training material for managers on various HR and labor and employee relations topics.
* Assist with other HR special projects or initiatives as needed.

Qualifications/Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least four (4) years of experience in Human Resources)
* Minimum of three (3) additional years of experience in Labor Relations or Human Resource management

* Proven analytical and organizational ability.
