Performs general set ups, maintenance and trouble shooting of all laser orders and production equipment. Responsible for general supervision of their respective shift personnel as well as the daily production processing of orders. This includes the following area for all orders: quality, totals, processing steps, re-working of rejections and daily work assignments for the production staff. Maintain a clean work area and good documentation practices at all times. Complies with all relevant safety policies in area and company.
Must have a minimum of a Technical Associates degree or 2 years of related manufacturing/ production experience in setting up Lasers or CNC equipment. Laser experience, equipment trouble-shooting, CNC programming and supervisor skills would be helpful. Should be able to demonstrate computer experience: Microsoft products, PC navigation, and file storage. Individual shall be able to read procedures and comprehend instructions related to the process. Excellent communication skills are necessary with all levels of personnel and possible customers.
Must be able to visually manufacture and inspect parts with an unaided eye according to area standards. Must be able to use a stereo microscope according to area standards for up to your entire shift. Must be able to perform tasks associated with position while wearing the necessary safety glasses and PPE for the area. Must be able to lift/move up to 35 lbs. on an occasional basis during your entire shift. Must be able to handle and process very small parts with acceptable hand dexterity and good hand/eye coordination while meeting production needs/standards. Must comply with Laserage dress/attire policy.
