Adopt industry standard processes and be a catalyst for continuous improvement in each of the assigned areas (Line Mx, Base Mx, Engineering, Purchasing, Finance, Accounting, Shops, Supply, and Quality Assurance)
Apply DMAIC methodology for continuous improvement in Maintenance & Engineering and other supporting processes for the assigned areas
Work with business process owners and subject matter experts (SMEs) to map functional processes in each of the departments assigned
Work closely with departments to develop scripts, testing schedules and test processes
Work with their assigned departments to transfer the knowledge that was gained during the testing and also train new hires in the departmental processes and procedures
Update the user guides to reflect the current and future processes and procedures
Work with other departments where there is overlap in functionality and make it seamless
Provide operational support to end users, troubleshoot as needed, in the use of various M&E systems including TRAX, Boeing Toolbox, Airbus World, FlyDocs, etc.
Escalate to Manager of Process & Technology for guidance as necessary
Explore existing and new system capabilities for process improvement
Work closely with their assigned departments to develop business requirements for system configuration changes and modifications for submission to IT and vendors such as TRAX
Submit and manage TRAX weblogs for their areas of responsibility and communicate the results to the users
Take direct ownership of assigned ad hoc analytical tasks and administrative matters from the chain of command within BP&I
As the Lead BFA, act as the virtual team leader to guide and mentor a few designated BFAs
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field
Minimum two years experience working primarily as a business analyst or in a related role
Minimum two years experience working in the airline industry with strong knowledge of Maintenance & Engineering technologies and processes
Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
Strong initiative, excellent communication skills and willingness to be a change agent and champion
Advanced level of competency with office productivity tools such as MS Office and process mapping tools such as Visio
Experience in producing business requirements for technology enablement
Must be able to work on weekends/nights as warranted for training
Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Ability to communicate effectively across departments and within departments at all levels of the organization to include development of presentation materials
Experience as a team lead
Experience with Lean Six Sigma (LSS), particularlly the application of DMAIC methodology for process improvement
