KBRwyle is seeking an experienced Cyber Security Engineer to support the Command and Control Platform Information Technology (C2 PIT) Certification Authority (CA) located at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. The successful candidate will provide analysis of Cyber Security Engineering artifacts and Certification and Accreditation (C&A) expertise required to support the execution of all steps necessary for obtaining Interim Authority to Operate (IATO) or Authority to Operate ATO). The candidate will maintain C&A package artifacts for assigned systems as well as, assisting the program managers in developing decision briefings for the Certification Authority. This position will focus on technical assessments of program developed artifacts, test results, and the output of the risk management program for each system assessed. The candidate will conduct security assessments on technology systems and equipment used within air platform tactical networks. Candidate will use Information Assurance and technical risk management principles through executing the Air Force C2 PIT Certification and Accreditation (C&A) process. The candidate will be experienced and successful at solving complex cyber security issues, enjoy working in a dynamic, responsive, and collaborative environment, and is dedicated to the success of our customers against advanced, persistent threats.
Education/Experience: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related discipline and eight (8) years of practical experience in information assurance/Cyber security Engineering is required. Twelve (12) years of experience in cyber security and information assurance may be substituted in lieu of degree. A masters degree in a related discipline with six (6) years of experience will also be considered for this position. Must hold a minimum of IAM Level I (with Security+) approved certification as identified in DoD 8750 or be able to attain within 6 months.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of network architecture analysis, verification and validation of requirements, and understanding the risk management process is essential. Must have the ability to communicate with and distill information from technical resources during formal and informal meetings. Current experience and knowledge of the DoD Information Assurance C&A (DIACAP) process to include the DoD 8500 series, and other service specific IA requirements is preferred. Ideal candidate would have experience in the certification and accreditation (C&A) process specifically developing DIACAP and/or Platform IT documentation. Experience with Joint Programs and Interoperability is also highly desired. Working knowledge of the NIST Special Pub 800-53 is also beneficial. An IAM Level II with Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) is highly desirable.
