Lead Quality Assurance activities for multiple baggage Systems projects (Such as RampkLink +, TRACkScan, PRIME) to create software solutions for airports and reservation centers. Provide leadership and expertise to project teams including planning, managing and executing manual and automated testing activities.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

* Provide technical leadership/supervision for all aspects of quality assurance including new product functional testing, regression testing, performance testing and test case automation

* Use QA best practices to design and implement processes that maintain quality standards while meeting deadlines

* Estimate effort and resources needed for QA activities

* Define test plans that identifies testing strategy, objectives, risks and dependencies

* Prioritize, create and execute test cases that validate requirements and designs

* Coordinate test plan and test case reviews with business partners and development teams

* Oversee creation of automated test cases using commercial test automation tools

* Report test case execution status and metrics to project stakeholders

* Assess risk to quality service based upon results of verification and validation

* Coordinate activities of multiple teams, including but not limited to development and project management

* Lead efforts for continuous learning of client and customer operational flow, use and interdependencies of data and products

* Monitor adherence to established test standards and procedures

* Mentor QA team

* Strive for Quality and continuous integration excellence

Job Qualifications

* Undergraduate degree in CS/CE/CIS/MIS or Engineering/Technology or related field or equivalent experience/training

* At least 3 years’ experience as Quality Assurance Lead

* At least 8 years’ experience in software testing/Quality Assurance

* At least 3 years’ hands-on experience with test management tools (e.g. TFS, HP ALM QC)

* Experience with technical testing tools (SOAPUI, QTP, Load Runner, Selenium, CA Lisa)

* Advanced understanding of Quality Management and "best practices" with regard to testing techniques, methodologies, processes, tools, artifacts and measurement

* Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities

* Thorough knowledge of software development, configuration management and release processes

* Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively facilitate meetings

* Strong focus on customer service and teamwork

* Ability to manage conflicting interests and identify compromises

* Proficient in Windows environment and advanced skills with Microsoft Office software

* Ability to effectively meet deadlines and prioritize projects in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment

* Sound business knowledge of airline applications highly desirable

* Preferred experience in an Agile environment

* Experience as a software developer is a strong plus

* Experience working with offshore teams is desirable
