JOB DESCRIPTION

This position will function as the technical lead for the NetJets Data Network Team. Responsibilities include the design, build, and maintenance of LAN, WAN, and DMZ environments and all associated network technologies. The role will involve work on complex problems with minimal supervision, with the goal of ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all NetJets network infrastructure.

25%: Provide technical expertise and leadership in the areas of Cisco and F5 networking technologies.

25%: Implement, manage, and troubleshoot a variety of Cisco hardware and software products.

25%: Proactively manage to the availability and security requirements of the network infrastructure.

15%: Assist manager with assignment of team resources.

10%: Creation and maintenance of infrastructure and process documentation.

REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor's Degree
Course of Study/Major: Information Technology
Type of Credentials/Licenses: Cisco CCNP or CCDP preferred 
Related Work Experience: 6-8 years experience as a LAN/WAN engineer in an enterprise IT environment

Experience with some or all of the following technologies: 

  • Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, wireless LAN devices, web proxies
  • F5 LTM and GTM
  • MPLS, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, IPSEC, NAT
  • Microsoft Visio, Solarwinds, Cisco Prime

Knowledge of standard cabling technologies, such as UTP and fiber optics.
Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage priorities.
Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
