Job Description Summary 
The Project Lead would provide engineering support to the program IPT. 

As the Product Engineer duties vary based on program assignments and associated customer requirements - the Project Engineer Lead would assure that the technical requirements are fulfilled based on the Program needs: 

For Proprietary/Design Responsible Programs, the Product Engineer: 
a) Initiates drawing changes as required by developing and maintaining the product to customer requirements. This may include the following: 
i. Drawing/model maintenance and change forms 
ii. Configuration Management/Interchangeability 
iii. Generating 3-D Stress models (CATIA, Pro/E) for analysis 
iv. Kinematics analysis 
v. Maintaining weight reports (weight, center of gravity, moments of inertia, …) 
vi. Generate retrofit kits. 
vii. Prepares Acceptance Test Procedures 
viii. Generates change proposals with both cost and time estimates 
b) Develop, maintain and execute project plans to ensure proper implementation and timely completion of internal and external customer commitments. 
c) Submits technical data to the customer for approval/acceptance per contractual requirements 
d) Perform liaison engineering function within company, as well as customers and suppliers 
e) Supports customer requests such as redesigns/product improvements based on life cycle data (wear issues, failures, cost reduction, product improvements, …) or performing minor testing (i.e. shock leak, fit checks, cycle tests, …) 
f) Supports in house and field investigations using the Root Cause and Corrective Action process 
g) Designs and checks fixtures for testing and assembly 
h) Maintains the Engineering Bill of Material in the PDM system (e-Matrix) 
i) Initiates the release of the drawing related documents in the PDM system 
j) Reviews change requests for producibility issues, drawing clarifications, and cost reduction 
k) Supports the change board function to ensure proper and timely change incorporation 
l) Supports the customer and/or government representatives as needed 
m) Reviews contracts for technical content 
n) Provides Engineering support to the IPT 
o) ECPR Tracking, triage, implementation of requested Engineering Changes (ECPR) 
p) RRCA support 
q) RFP/ECP support 

Basic Qualifications 
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
