The Boeing Company has an exciting opportunity for a C2BMC Software Configuration Management(CM)/Data Management(DM) Lead (Level 5) to join the dynamic team at Colorado Springs, CO.

 

PROGRAM INFORMATION:

The Missile Defense National Team B provides technical solutions to the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Command, Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) program. C2BMC is the integrating element for the Ballistic Missile Defense System and links various sensors and weapon systems. The system provides capabilities to integrate and synchronize missile defense systems and operations, providing a layered defense against multiple ranges of threats and in all phases of flight.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position is a supervisory role as Lead for the program Configuration Management(CM)/Data Management(DM) team in all C2BMC CM/DM activities.

The responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Maintain the CM/DM systems, processes, tools and procedures as defined in the program Configuration Management Plan (CMP).
  • Maintain a strong working relationship with customer counterpart and National Team staff. 
  • Develops, documents and maintains requirements for C2BMC systems and design.
  • Performs software project management and software supplier management functions.

This position requires candidate acceptance by industry partner resource control board.

Qualifications 

Basic Qualifications:

  

  • This position requires an active (or the ability to obtain) U.S. Security Clearance, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
  • This position requires a CURRENT SECRET CLEARANCE.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Configuration Management/Data Management
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience administering software configuration management tools ClearCase and ClearQuest.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience leading technical teams.
  • Experience troubleshooting missile defense system elements such as C2BMC hardware, software and networks.

   

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Experience in defining asset and configuration management (CM) systems and solutions
  • Familiarity with Federal property management environment
  • Experience with configuration management of remote operational systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with process analysis methodologies
  • Ability to define, develop, communication and implement improvement processes
  • Experience with both hardware and software CM
  • Hands-on experience with CM tools including tools for System Modification Request (SRM) tracking, software CM, and hardware CM
  • Experience with software build processes and baseline control
  • A working knowledge of ClearCase and ClearQuest

Ideal Background Experience:

12 to 14 years of related configuration management experience, including supervisory experience - A firm understanding of configuration management and documentation management concepts and processes

  

Typical Education and Experience: Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's 14 or more years' experience, Master's with 12 or more years' experience or PhD with 9 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
