Training and Professional Services has an immediate need for an Agile Leader / Solution Train Engineer for the P-8 and Apache Training System programs. The selected candidate will support one of these programs. In this position, the individual will be responsible for agile facilitation of processes and execution, escalation of impediments, risk management, and driving continuous improvement throughout the organization. They will assist the organization in using a variety of lean and agile framework and methodologies, working across organizational boundaries, helping to implement and execute multiple simultaneous contracts within a scaled agile framework.

The candidate will be responsible for facilitating all aspects of the scaled agile processes including, but not limited to:

Leads and directs lean principles and practices to manage and optimize the flow of value

*

Establishing and communicating annual calendars of agile events

*

Facilitating program level meetings and events, including coordination and logistics

*

Tracking and reporting on progress towards program objectives

*

Establishing and assuring proper metrics are used for agile execution and upward reporting

*

Escalating and tracking impediments

*

Encourage collaboration across the entire organization

*

Work with product managers and other stakeholders to ensure strategy and execution alignment

Help manage risks and dependencies

* Attend solution-level product demonstrations

* Leads the implementation of process improvement solutions and drive continuous improvement via facilitation of inspect and adapt workshops

* Coach leaders, teams, and scrum masters in lean-agile practices and mindsets

Qualifications

Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Experience in leading teams using agile methodologies is required.

Preferred Attributes

Experience in scaled agile techniques such as SAFe, LeSS, etc.

Experience with the Boeing Agile Software Process (BASP)

Program or Project management experience

Experience with Earned Value Management

Must have an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.

Must be a United States Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15? “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
