Position Overview

The Maintenance and Supply LSSBB will help the Maintenance and Supply organizations achieve success by increasing productivity, reducing cost, and improving processes for the goal of increasing customer experience through the highest quality services. The
LSSBB will focus on identifying and removing process inefficiencies using key CI tools and a defined methodology for solving problems to root cause. As a change agent, the LSSBB will support Maintenance and Supply by engaging employees in process improvement
which will ultimately build morale and ensure sustainment of improvements through ownership.

Key Responsibilities

* Work closely with Director of Continuous Improvement to deploy Lean Six Sigma across organization and within assigned area of focus

* Work with department leaders to identify and prioritize improvement opportunities, scope out improvement projects and translate functional goals into Six Sigma strategies/projects with measurable objectives

* Lead process improvement initiatives with quantifiable results
* Facilitate Kaizen or quick improvement events that deliver quantifiable results

* Coach, train, and develop Green Belts, Yellow Belts and Champions in Lean Six Sigma methodology

* Provide expert guidance to multiple Lean Six Sigma project and Kaizen teams.
* Disseminate process improvement methodologies and toolkits throughout the organization via formal and informal training and community of practice leadership

* Institutionalize and champion Lean Six Sigma thinking and principles throughout the organization. Advocate and demonstrate the benefits of applying Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to achieving business objectives and financial performance targets

* Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable

* Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification
* Demonstrated continuous improvement experience in DMAIC, DFSS, Kaizen or other relevant methodologies

* Experience implementing large scale initiatives and tracking results
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required; ability to recommend alternative solutions and translate complex concepts into simplified and understandable examples

* Ability to work across all levels to lead and influence key stakeholders
* Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills; ability to interact professionally with a diverse group – executives, managers, and subject matter experts

* Desire to learn new skills, tools and techniques
* Energetic self-starter with strong leadership skills
* Deliver on commitments: proven track record of sustainable performance
* Demonstrated experience in change management concepts and application

Preferred Qualifications

* Airline or related industry experience
* 5 years’ experience in continuous improvement experience in DMAIC, DFSS, Kaizen or other relevant methodologies

* Maintenance and Supply Transformation:

* Maintenance and Supply operational experience-Understanding of metrics and analysis related to operational performance

* Experience with Contract Employee workforce

* 10 years of experience in process improvement methodologies Training and support material design/development experience
