Job Description

The Learning Management System/ Learning Content Management System (LMS/LMCS) Administrator is responsible for the technical implementation and administration of the software applications used by the Kirtland, Davis-Monthan, Andrews and Moody (KDAM) Aircrew Training and Rehearsal Support (ATARS) contract. These efforts will include working collaboratively with appropriate stakeholders in identifying the educational needs of programs or services and leveraging the available tools, processes, and procedures to successfully support those needs.

Requirements

Education and Formal Training:

Bachelor’s Degree in an appropriate discipline or equivalent combination of education, experience and training.

Experience:

Three to five years of experience in a related field.

Responsibilities

*

LMS and LCMS functions which include monitoring course content, course approvals ensuring processes are completed within given timeframes; Creates/publishes/archives online/instructor-led courses, assigns training curricula, adds/deletes resources, monitor accounts, reset passwords, and maintain system parameters.

Provides and coordinates system maintenance which includes upgrades and updates, configuration, troubleshooting, debugging, and user access testing for all Learning Applications, including LMS, LCMS, and other systems.

*

Accurately tracks new, deleted, and revised items in the LMS and LCMS systems.

*

Responsible for accurately reporting and documenting LMS and LCMS system bugs and issues with vendors, using ticketing systems.

*

Responsible for staying current on LMS and LCMS system communities, networking, researching processes procedures, best practices, and available resources for maximizing the capabilities of the LMS and System Information Security (SIS) systems.

*

Collaborate with others and provide reports and data to KDAM staff and customers.

*

Collaborate with the Reporting and Database specialist to create customized reports within the LMS and LCMS systems.

*

Provide training to KDAM staff, on various KDAM contract learning applications.

*

Acts as a change agents for the utilization and growth of the Learning Management System.

*

Provides escalation support for the learning applications.

*

Works in collaboration with various KDAM teams to coordinate testing, maintenance packages and more.

*

Establishes work priorities and if necessary recommends shifts in workloads and personnel assignments to meet emergencies or critical deadlines.

*

Delivers customer care in compliance with KDAM and government regulations, quality standards and customer care service practices and protocols as demand necessitates.

*

Uses a variety of software applications and technologies to deliver information to customers in all KDAM products and services. Records customer contacts in a call center and in a ticketing system.

The Individual

*

Ability to effectively use a PC and common desk top processing, database software programs, spreadsheet and word processing.

*

Ability to interface effectively with customer and staff.

*

Ability to operate typical office equipment such as printers, copiers, etc.

*

Working knowledge of military standards.

*

Ability to pass Military background check to access Military LAN system.

* Ability to obtain a SECRET security clearance as required.
