The primary role of this position is to administer Leaves of Absence and Worker's Compensation for all of NetJets' employee population (Union & Non-Union). LOA's include: medical, FMLA, STD, LTD , bereavement, jury duty and military. This position will coordinate all LOA's and any Worker's Compensation payments with the Payroll Dept as well as Department Managers and Flight Operations when necessary.
30%: Responsible for day to day administration of all Leave of Absence requests. This includes, but not limited to: working with external medical LOA vendor to ensure leaves comply with Company policies and procedures, communicate with Payroll to ensure employees receive the correct compensation while out on leave and communicate with Operations and Training to ensure flight schedule is updated as necessary.
30%: Responsible for day to day administration of Worker's Compensation for the entire NetJets organization. This includes, but not limited to: file Worker's Compensation reports with Third Party Administrator, coordinate lost time claims, review FMLA paperwork to ensure the request meets legal requirements, maintain proper medical documentation to support Worker's Compensation and potential long-term disability and communicate with Payroll and Worker's Compensation carrier/vendor to ensure employees receive the correct compensation while out on Leave.
10%: Maintain contact with employees out on Worker's Compensation LOA and/or any other type of LOA to ensure a successful return to work. Notify Supervisor/Manager of employee's leave and verify return to work. Also responsible for tracking premium payments for all employees on LOA to include communicating with employees on amounts due, tracking payments received and terminating or reinstating coverage as necessary.
10%: Work with external Worker's Compensation vendor and internal/external Legal Counsel to ensure compliance and that employees are compensated correctly, respond to report requests from internal/external contacts and coordinate bi-annual Worker's Compensation claims reviews. Also responsible for all State of Ohio self-insured WC reporting.
10%: Responsible for running monthly LOA reports for internal partners as well as Union representatives and running ad hoc reports as requested.
10%: Responsible for administering Company sponsored Loss of Medical Certificate program, to include: reviewing all applications, working with avaition medicine advisory vendor to track the status of leaves, communicate with Payroll to ensure employee receives the correct compensation while out on leave and communicate with Operations and Training to ensure flight schedule is updated.
Course of Study/Major: Human Resources or Business Administration
Related Work Experience: 2-4 years
Experience in LOA Administration or combination of Benefits and Payroll experience required.
Knowledge of Windows based programs.
Ability to work with many interruptions.
Ability to prioritize projects and assignments and to multi-task.
Strong verbal and written communications skills required.
