Job Title: Logistics Planner - CA

Responsible for developing and maintaining Provisioning documentation related to the support of Air Vehicle systems and subsystems (structural, mechanical, avionics, payload, etc.). The Provisioning documentation shall reflect an indentured breakdown based on released engineering drawings and parts lists in support of a two level maintenance concept. Also responsible for recommending and updating Source, Maintainability and Recoverability (SMR) codes for all items in the Provisioning breakdown and for working to ensure the Provisioning data is properly aligned with the related Illustrated Parts Breakdown (IPB). The candidate will be expected to interact with suppliers and engineers to develop accurate top down configuration breakdowns as well as research and document part data elements.
Hours: First shift, 9/80 workweek. Location: San Diego, CA.
Requires degree with 3 years of related experience.
The candidate will have experience using Eagle, SLIC, Mil-STD-1388, S2000M and/or GEIA STD 0007 Provisioning systems) and/or experience performing Logistics Support Analysis (LSA), Technical Writing and/or Logistics Engineering; An ability to navigate in Haystack, FEDLOG, WEBFLIS and similar cataloging tools; Experience with Microsoft Office products including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience must include interpretation of engineering drawings and parts lists.
Bachelor’s degree and six years’ experience or a minimum of ten years of logistics experience without a bachelor’s degree in one or more of the following fields: Provisioning, Logistics Engineering, Logistics Support Analysis and/or Technical Writing.
Eight or more years of experience developing and maintaining Provisioning documentation for submission to a government customer. Experience with MS Access including visual basic coding to generate complex queries and reports. Knowledge of DoD cataloging systems.
Experience with preparing and submitting cataloging requests via the USAF D143C system.
