PURPOSE of POSITION:
The Long Range Planner is responsible for maintenance analysis and the base station network strategic plan, inlcuding identifying future constraints and forecasting the number of locations, maintenance tracks & capabilities that will be required of the base station network. Responsible for the for 1-10 year site loading plan and forecast. Develops scenario based analysis for Sr. Management detailing the effects on availability caused by changes to inspection programs, check down times, fleet composition changes, and vendor changes. The Long Range Planner is responsible for ad-hoc maintenance analysis and the administration of AMES, Base Planning's forecasting tool.
MAJOR DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES and ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
25%: Performs analysis required to create, maintain & publish the long range forecast, 1 to 10 years of scheduled maintenance, including aircraft deliverys & disposals, flying rates and facilty loading. Performs analysis to identifiy capacity constraints and forecasts the number of locations, tracks & capabilities that will be required of the base station network.
25%: Administers AMES, the maintenance scheduling tool, including locations, capacities, inpsection programs, event downtimes, aircraft deliveries and disposals, and flying rates.
25%: Performs scenario based analysis for Sr. Management detailing the effects on availability caused by changes to the inspection programs, check down times, fleet composition changes, and vendor changes.
25%: Performs analysis to identify changes to improve the maintenance forecast and plan, increase profitability through increased aircraft availability, and more effectively utilize aircraft downtime.
Course of Study/Major: Aviation Maintenance or related field
Type of Credentials/Licenses:
Related Work Experience: 4-6 years
Knowledgeable in relational databases, data extraction tools such as Hyperion, Business Objects, SAS or Access and analytical functions
Previous maintenance planning/scheduling experience
Understanding of maintenance programs
Has a firm grasp on data processing and manipulation and is familiar with forecasting techniques.
Has the ability to collect and interpret data and/or diagrams in a technical and organized manner to produce reports and draw conclusions.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office application
FAA Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic Certificate (desirable)
