SUMMARY

 

The machine operator will be able to operate all machines in machine shop according to both AAR and government regulations.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

 -Operate conventional milling machine, lathes, boring machines, surface grinders and other machine shop tools. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering specifications, and manual instructions. Knowledge in use of measuring instruments used in verifying dimensional tolerances required - All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Must have experience with operation and programming of Mazak and/or Hurco conversational milling machines.
  • Five years or more specialized training and/or experience with CNC and manual milling machines preferred.
