We are seeking a first class machinist to performs a variety of duties to set up, operate, and program diversified machines to produce a variety of component parts for production. Uses shop mathematics, handbook formulas, machining operations, hand tools and measuring gages. Works from blueprints, sketches, written and/or verbal instructions.
Handles materials and parts according to proper procedure. Maintains established standards of quality and productivity. Reports unusual problems or circumstances to appropriate person.
Records information or data describing work performed and defects. Maintains work area clean and neat at all times. Stores and keeps in good working order all equipment, tools and gages. Monitors tooling/supplies inventories and orders and/or advises appropriate person when supplied are needed. Complies with all Company policies, procedures, and safety rules.
Performs other related tasks as assigned.
- The ability to read blueprints and work with close tolerances
- Advanced shop math skills
- Familiarity with gauging and measurement instruments
- CNC programming a must
- Experient with 5 axis vertical milling machines a must
- Mastercam experience helpful
- Overtime will be mandatory.
Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma
- Minimum 5 years as a machinist
