Maintenance Controller

Duties:

  • Act as primary point of contact for all Mechanical discrepancies that may affect the daily operation of all company aircraft
  • Communicate directly with Operations, Flight Crews, and Company Maintenance to determine if discrepancies are eligible for deferral utilizing the approved MEL/NEF guidelines
  • Coordinate with Company Maintenance, Contract Maintenance vendors, and OEM Service Centers to work aircraft discrepancies and planned maintenance events and ensure the best course of action to get the aircraft back into service with minimal downtime
  • Coordinate with Director of Maintenance if travel to an aircraft is required by a Company Maintenance Technician
  • Enter discrepancies into computer tracking program (FlightDocs)
  • Make recommendations for corrective action of discrepancies based on aircraft service history analysis, applicable Maintenance Manual guidance, and Operator experience
  • Promote teamwork by cooperation with all co-workers
  • Promote safety for self and others Ability to help with routine aircraft maintenance if needed

Related Experience/Education: e C

  • 5 Year industry experience (aircraft maintenance/technical operations) with a Part 121 or 135 operator.
  • 3 years experience on the CJ and/or Phenom family preferred
  • 2 years Maintenance Control experience preferred
  • Experience managing multiple projects
  • Ability to manage high stress situations
  • Experience using FlightDocs or other maintenance tracking program
  • Experience in the use of maintenance reference materials including Manufacturer’s Maintenance Manuals, Structural Repair Manuals, Illustrated Parts Catalogs, Component Manuals, etc.
  • Previous leadership experience preferred
  • Violation free A&P License required
  • Current Passport
  • Must possess good written and verbal communications skills
  • High knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations
  • (FAR’s), General Operation Manuals, and MEL’s
