Summary/Objective: The MSP Maintenance Crew Chief is responsible for all MSP maintenance activities. Essential Functions:
Provides direction to M/C on assigning scheduled maintenance package and non-routines based on required skills, milestones, scheduling, and estimated man-hours for realistic functional work and airworthiness requirements.
Participates in daily maintenance meeting to review scheduled maintenance visit with regards to potential workscope and schedule changes, maintenance issues impacting visit, impact of issues, action plans, and long-term improvements.
Coordinates and reports all maintenance activities and delays to Maintenance Control.
Chairs shift change meeting with oncoming shift to evaluate status of work package for completeness and open items.
Monitors duties and performance level of all MSP mechanics.
Supports hangar maintenance with daily process improvements.
Ensures housekeeping of hangars, tooling and all Sun Country Airlines’ property is kept up to standards.
Completion of tasks assigned by Manager Aircraft Maintenance.
Aids in troubleshooting of aircraft problems.
Monitors progress of workload to ensure schedule and airworthiness requirements are met.
Keeps Maintenance Manager informed of all current maintenance activities.
Assists in training of all new employees.
Coordinates aircraft movement and parking.
Monitors work performed and parts changed to ensure timely and cost effective measures are maintained.
Ensures adequate turnover is provided to oncoming shift.
Maintain availability to MSP mechanics for consultation when procedures require their presence.
Conduct all tasks in a safe and efficient manner complying with all local, state, and federal safety and health regulatory requirements, programmatic standards, and with any internal policies and procedures identified by Sun Country Airlines.

Five years A&P experience on Boeing 737 or related type experience
Must have taken 737 FAM course
A&P License required
Excellent communication, organizational, problem solving skills
Work effectively with minimal supervision under stressful situations
Must be computer literate (Microsoft Applications)
Hours varied to accommodate maintenance schedule requirements
Previous supervisory experience preferred

Qualified candidates must pass a criminal history background check as well as a pre-employment drug test
